The Boyish Charms - They Lie In Their Record Titles!

Here are the two most inaccurately named records ever produced:

1/ Sum 41 - All Killer, No Filler
2/ The Boyish Charms - Nothing Spectacular Awaits

Two very different albums with very, very misleading titles. If it's all right with everyone, however, I'm going to focus on the one in the number 2 position...

The Boyish Charms are a four-piece from San Diego, California, and their most recent album, the aforementioned Nothing Spectacular Awaits, emerged at the start of this year through the rather-rather-incredibly-so-actually Asaurus Records.

[A brief interruption - Asaurus Records are fanfuckingtastic. The majority of their releases are beautiful hand made CDR efforts that cost, at current exchange rates, around £3 each. You should buy some. I should buy some more. They're fantastic, end of.]

The record consists of 15 tracks of lovely, gentle folk-tinged indiepop, with some lovely, effective instrumentation on some tracks. I'm struggling for more to say, really - I suppose it's just proof that sometimes the best things in life are the things that are uncluttered and simple!

Here are two tracks from said album.
